- EA is a vertically intergrated company in which all aspects of the games industry are carried out by EA. Aspects such as developing, marketing, publishing and distributing are all done by EA.

Marketing

- They use professional players on the front cover. The players change every year - on the front of FIFA 10's game are Theo Walcott, Wayne Rooney and Frank Lampard.
- Adverts - they use the most famous footballers in England in the adverts to attract the audience in England. Football fans would be used to watching these players on TV and would know who they are.
- The game adverts use up-to-date and modern music in trailers. These songs act as representatives to what sort of songs will be in the full game. If there is 'cool' music then the game must be 'cool'.
