1. Why would they offer a free online service?
A. Sony give their users a free online service because of the price difference with the Xbox 360, the Xbox is only £149.00 for the most standard model where as the PS3 is £299.00. This means that more people may be likely to go to Xbox for the price but for the free connectivity PS3 are better and they stay competitive.
2. What features does it have?
A. The PS3 online service offers you many different things:
- Online game play - this service lets you and your friends play with or against each other at your favourite games, and speak to each at the same time.
- The PS3 lets you connect to the internet for unlimited browsing.
- The PS3 has a games lounge where you can search the Play Station store and find new games and download demos to see if you like them.
- The internet connectivity also allows you to use the BBC Iplayer application
- You can upload your photos to the PS3 and then to a site such as Facebook.
- On the Play Station store you can also download the latest DVDs and blue ray films.
3. Is there any thing extra?
A. On the Play Station you can access blue ray films which the Xbox is not compatible because it does not have the correct software.
4. From your research which service do you think is better and why?
A. I think that you get more online entertainment features on the PS3 and the same gaming features as the Xbox so i think the PS3 is better, but the Xbox is cheaper and still good but not s good. Also the PS3 is faster and connects to the internet faster.
5. How can GTA4 be accessed and played online.
A. GTA4 is the first GTA game that allows you to have crime online. This allows you to play online with up to 16 different players. The host of the party can adjust the settings for example the amount of weapons and cars. Each time you kill a pedestrian you get $100 and the aim is to gain as much money as you can. To get to the multiplayer you go to the characters phone and click on the multiplayer button. Also you can speak to other players online if they are your friends.
